Erik Bets Fights's MMA Handicapper Bio

Hey. I'm Erik. I've been obsessed with martial arts my whole life, and I've loved MMA since before I even saw it (I tore a UFC ad out of a magazine and hung it on my wall in like 1994, haha). Watching people fight in cages has been my tunnel-visioned obsession ever since.

The first fight I remember ever betting on was the second Liddell/Couture fight. I bet $50 on Couture, and he lost. I didn't even understand betting odds or what a moneyline meant or anything. I just put down $50 on the guy I thought would win. I like to think I'm a little better at this now, but I still have a lot to learn, and I'm working hard every week to learn it.

I've been an avid consumer of MMA-related content, both video/audio and written, for many years, and I've been pretty successful betting MMA based on the info I've learned that way. However, in October 2021, I decided to start watching tape and putting in the work myself (though I'm still a voracious consumer of MMA betting-related podcasts, videos, and written breakdowns).

I also decided in late 2021 to try my hand at making my own MMA betting-related videos, which you can find on the Erik Bets Fights Youtube channel or the Never Hedge Media YouTube channel. I'd be honored if you'd check out my videos and hit "subscribe" if you like what you see.

I'm certainly no professional gambler, and I'm far from being any kind of expert at this stuff, but I'm as passionate a fan and as hungry a learner as you'll find.

I'm obsessed with MMA and MMA gambling, and when I'm obsessed with something, it's ALL I DO. Like I said, I'm no expert at this--yet--but if I have any say, the day will come when I will be. Why not follow along on my journey and see how I do? :)
