I've been an MMA fan for nearly 15 years (UFC 106 was my first PPV I watched when I was 9 years old) and training and competing in BJJ and Kickboxing in 2014. I started playing DFS and sports betting as soon as I turned 18, on pretty much every sport other than MMA (NBA, MLB, NFL, etc.). Not because I didn’t think I would be good at betting on MMA, just because I was such a huge fan, I didn’t want to take anything away from just relaxing and watching the fights. A few years later after some trial and error with other sports and becoming a consistently profitable… Covid happened and once UFC came back, I locked in my first MMA DFS lineups, bet on my first fight and have never looked back. I do attribute a lot of my success to my years of betting on other sports as it really helped me understand the importance of research, bankroll management and just having a solid foundation/process that you trust. After a profitable three years (one third-party tracked) I still am improving and looking forward to making you and I some more money!

What is my betting strategy?
I am a value bettor. What that means is I am always searching for odds that are better than what they should be. I don’t just break a fight down, get a strong lean for Fighter A and then go bet his moneyline.. I predict the range of outcomes (whether we realize it or not, every fight has a range of outcomes). So for example… If I predict Fighter A has a 67% chance to win against Fighter B (33% chance) and I check the moneyline to see Fighter A. is a massive -400 favorite (80% implied probability) and Fighter B. is a +310 underdog (24.4% implied probability), then using my predictions, the only value lies on Fighter B. because I think he has a higher chance of winning than what his odds do. This can be scary because at the end of the day you may put money on guys that you, well, think are going to lose but if the value is right and you stick to your strategy, it will be profitable in the long term and that’s what betting is all about.
