Antso Bantso's MMA Handicapper Bio

I´m back - and ready for UFC 225. Worked my ass off, while training, studying school, working, and researcing MMA. Work never ends. And I love this!

Let´s get a great night on UFC 225. I intend on researching more and more fights. I´ve re-adjusted my research strategy to be more efficient through the 80/20 concept to those familiar with that.

Writeups will come friday. Aswell as the plan for the future - along with the deletion of my old ramblings.

All bets are free for now. Rank 269. Now onwards to the top.

I believe in moderate wins as opposed to big losses and big wins. Be greedy when you can but never be too greedy.Thats the way to win.

You´ll regret losing laot when you realise had you played itsafer you could had bene a rich man after a few years, but instead you ended up broke.

I´ve done many dumb bets in the past unofficisally - now i´m ready to get into it. had around a 1 year lay off without betting or watching much mma since 2016 (started december 2015) now in 2018 i´m back - and this summer fully focused on my goals to become the numbr 1 proffesionalb better unlike all these tools just throwing that self proclaimed bs around - i´ll prove myself.

working from scratch with losses - to profit. on my way to the golden road of success. through hard work and extreme dedecation and devotion to what i love.

Note: All my rambling about my golden rule and my loss aside - check this out: http://www.mmadecisions.com/decision/9085/Darren-Till-vs-Stephen-Thompson

I dont mind the loss tho - it doesnt matter long term - what matters ot me is learning and my rules since i´ve taken this extremly seriously as my life, as my proffesion, and i want to be at the top and know everything and be the bets wherever i decide to dive into.
Obviouisly most people had it for thomson - but what im annoying at if TL:DR is that i broke my golden rule and it led to a loss - it doesnt matter why that loss happened - even if i won im not happy about breaking my golden rule - as that means you´ll do it again and again, but i know i can stop and call it quit and once. i´ve stopped addictions before just like that out of the blue -- but ive never tried in mma to just "be lucky" once and thats it. so theres that lesson learned.

Size strikes again what is it 6-0 or 7-0 now? Like dern with a whole weight class advantage vs cooper - till was huge - yes many people and orgs had it for wonderboy, big john had it for thomson - but he lost, and i dont care about the loss in it self - thats part of it, even close decisions, and you cant expect a fighter to go in with a smart gameplan - if you think "if he fights this way he wins" maybe you´re rihght but dont count on it unless their camps and gyms and fighters got good fight iq and adapts and listens to their corners - overall it is what it is - but what bothers me is losing when breaking my golden rule - even if i thought it´d be okay just htis once before i´m fully able to dedicate my time. -- so with that

I Broke my golden rule with Thomson as note in my betting notes for the fight you can see and lost. and thats what counts - but its good.

yet of course it feels bad breaking my winning streak, there´s been so many fights to livebet this event with, i.e robertson sub, silva vs taleb (no idea why people counted silva out, and as soon as he got him down. instant win - even if not, just close bet if it looks bad in round 2, the odds were fantastic) , tom brreese another great easy win, and lansberg, did you see her opponent nearly pueked? mentlaly out of it despite her pushing forward, - just so many fights to lb that was good tonight and even prebet i bet if i had the time to research em -- but the fight i did prebet the thompson and till bothers me so much..breaking my golden rule...So many prebets i wanted to make previous events aswell but i skipped because didnt have time to do my proper research even tho i was right and they won-- so of course this lsoes..its good.
it keeps me focused and shows my golden rule works. b

the fact that i finally pull the trigger even tho i didnt really like it and then proceed to lose -- its a pattern ive always experienced, you never get that one "ah one time it works" no. and thats good, its how it should be, otherwise you would continue to do it, there´d be another time for "just one more"

So its good. I lost it, i didnt put the time in and i paid for it - down 4 units. My apologies. I´ll get those units back when i got the time to research and until then not bet.

its a golden rule for a reason, reminds me of the break out of the guy breaking hus golden rule of trusting someone wh othen snithces on him- all his perfect plans fails.

lesson learned, i still feel the value was good, but till showed he was very patient, and looking at his standing he has shown some of thta patience in previous fights - and the hook we all probably feared happened. thomson down in round 5 like with wooldey - they both let it go - til lwasnt all that tired, and even thomsons dad wanted thomson to "light him up" he said to thomson - bad call as a brawl and pure ifhgt with till he´ll lose.

One mistake -- isall it takes, and in a 5 rounders its hard not to make one mistake at least and thomson paid for it.

Well onto the netx one - and no more golden rules broken. I cant wait to i got time to research as theres so many good fights to livebet i´d also prebet if i had the time - and that tim will come soon. rak 261 on this page and down nearly 7 units minus.. it´ll lght a fire on me, but i´ll b careful and do my proper research. no more golden rules broken.feels terrible to lose a fight when i skipped so mahy other fights, then i pull the trigger. those 4 units i´d had won is not worth it.

i´ll not break my rule again.

as always 0 is better than 0-1.

and 1 is better than 1-2.

remember that for betting.
Also again it shows fight A cant hurt fighter B but fighter B can hurt fighter A, and yes it keeps repeating itself. kept fearing for thta hook and it happened, same thing with romero vs rockhold etc.

the dec prop i was so close to betting but didnt, made that mistake too many times by now.
oh well on to the next one - i´ll be back very strongly, and i´ll be killing it.

About the pick for: Bryan Caraway vs Cody Stamann.
Didn´t get to finnish it before fight.

Anyway fight won. One thing I hadn´t seen enough of, was Byran Caraways earlier fights. I should had watched all of his fights, as I didn´t know about his insane BJJ. I knew he had better BJJ, but not that good. It also showed why Cody didn´t wanna take it to the ground.

He had way better stand up, and his superior gas tank showed and won the fight. Yes he had fewer significant strikes overall, however he got them in round 2 and round 3, while caraway seemed to get most in the first, so thats why he won 2 out of 3 rounds.

As I mentioned, the only way I saw this fight going was to a decision. I had also looked at the spli decision prop at 3.25 (might had been 3.75 not sure) - sal de amato was one of the judges, horrific judge, and aso that lady if you heard of her lol...i actually prayed sal de amato would go for cody and not be convinced by others - i felt most people picked bryan caraway, especially on the betting forums i saw noone betting on stamann - but i did, and i seriouls hoped please F it up and go for Cody lol - even though i thought he won aswell. i bet now people will be pissed about it.

Anyway i had a feeling due to this being such a close fight that a split decision prop could work well - i´ve never done such a prop. but looking back it - i should had and will remember that for the future when its close fights.

I also mentioned, or wanted to bet at Cody for 2.20 - i seriously felt that was the only way he´d win. I talked to someone close to me, and got convinced to bet on just on him winning...no - Listen to yourself. I should had listened to myself, just like i also should had made a small bet last time on andrade decision.

There are 3 betting styles here

1) the safe way of making straight picks
2) straight pick + a tiny bet on the prop (decision)
3) going purely for decision if you feel thats the only way of winning

now i prefer round 2- as i think being to ogreedy backfires, and then you regret not having just odne the safe and profit - the thing about betting compared to other investments is units and 1% keeps compunding so you dont need to win as many percentages, as it increases exppentnially - this is also why you see big bettors on this site having won 200 units yet you´d lost money if you followedd them because first they lost 50 units..then starting winning 75 units..then you still lost compared to your initial investment.

Anyway i remmeber betting on cody vs cruz and going for the tko...it felt really bad...so i´ll from now on be going with option 2

i.e 4 units on the straight and 1 or 2 units (my max bets are 6 units) on the prop i.e decision.

I may do it the other way to go for more profit - as there may be way more value and way higher ROI on the prop decision compared to the straight pick, this that is the correct choice.

But i prefer steady moderate wins compared to big wins and losses.

I may try to experiment with a split betting account in an excel where i have teo times 100 units, my main - my livebet where my units may be way lower than my pre-bet/main account, and maybe add another where i try a different tsrategy - i may simulate this on paper first. yes it sucks to win on paper and not irl, especially when you make the good calls, but you learn. It can be hard to want to work hard though if you dont feel you lose out on much. Thats just discipline thats the solution for that, thats all you need.

I dont like betting 4 units on Andrade or Stamann decision and 1 unit or 2 units on straight pick... i´d lose out on money and i like covering many options even if the value is only ROI 105 compared to ROI 20% like it was for the decision prop comapred to my own line.

Also crazy vegas had stamann at +100 dog odds. so my first dog pick, though my own line wasnt this good nor did i see such a line anywhere for 2.0

But i´m happy i once again went against all the big sharks and was right, ive now done that with latifi vs vilante, vs OSP (didnt bet and i regret it so much but my plan was to research 1 fight, then two fights...only got to research one fight this week - but as soon as i saw latifi vs osp i so badly wanted to bet it...

decision props is fine for a specific fighter, i´ll try to do that as ive now been right two times with both andrade and stamann, and in hard to call fights earlier - but didnt track it so it doesnt count for you guys any guy can say that of course, but trust my word on it. Also --just FDGTD or fight goes to decision or over 2.5 is easy.....i´m talking about like 4 units straight pick and then 2 units on that Andrade decision for instance -- a moderate prodifit but also an extra profit from my props -- safe and sound, andextra boost. Not too greedy, but a bit greedy like you should be otherwise knowlegde goes to waste - its calculated risks.

I just odnt like only going for the decision prop and i dont thin kits maart to bet 4 units straight pick + 4 uniuts decision 8 units on a fight? way too much risk due to luck bad judges, your own bad calls etc no.

Anyway i´ll start making a betting guide and doing it on my phone. I´m researching more fights, doing more research new techniques etc...

I´m on my way..from rank - 265 or 280-285 or so i was...then when i started last week - rank 240. now rank 229. i´m on my way, i bet safe and one unit is 1% for me.

2/2 so far. Lets keep it going! No matter if i won or lost this bet i wanted to research even more as watching 6 fights of each fighter..no i dont like it...i want more than that and od more other research, camps, training partners, alot of stuff - i´ll note it in my guide.
