Event Notes:

UFC FN: Alex Gust vs Glover

1) the misha 11 units straight at 1.25 was simply a bad bet, there really isnt much value there and to be honest I think I was mostly just eager to get started and get some "free" units since I just joined the site. Although admittedly i would probably have put 5 units on him to finish Volkan if i waited till the odds for that came out. However I do stand by the pick and that the outcome was genuinely a completely flook and misha beats him 49/50. For as long as it lasted the fight was not looking good for Volkan and it simply came down to you should never run in a straight line throwing multiple punches and the unlucky factor that the shot landed right behind the ear/at the back of the head where there is very little padding for protection. We knew going into it that there is always that chance on the KO like I pointed out in the notes for the bet under 1.5 rounds at 2.1.

2) I am very happy for not being greedy by taking misha round 1 at 2.6 and playing it safe to take the under 1.5 rounds at a steal of 2.1 odds.

3) The alex fight went pretty much exactly as I expected it to go and if you read the notes I wrote beforehand you can see that I pointed out clearly Glovers limited striking game and if he was denied the takedowns, how ineffective he can be made to look by a good out striker like alex with good footwork and boxing. However the speed appeared to be a big factor as well.

4)Concerning the very low stakes 0.25 long shot parley including mad dog madadi, the fight also went pretty much how I expected. He is an absolute warrior and was honestly two failed takedowns away from winning the fight by 29-28 in the latter part of the 3rd round. Both times in transition of the takedown they got reversed and mad dog landed on the bottom. If he landed either of the two of them in the last half of the 3rd round im positive it was his, especially with the crowd cheering at everything he does that 3rd round would be a lock if he spent the last minute and a half on top.
