Shes A Dawg's MMA Handicapper Bio

Hi. I'm Erik from Erik Bets Fights, and 'She's A Dawg' is an experiment I'm conducting.
In July 2022, I got to thinking about the volatility we always hear about in women's MMA. I thought, "I wonder what would happen if you just blindly bet on the underdog in every women's UFC fight?"
I pulled some stats and discovered that if you had bet $100 on every women's underdog in every UFC fight from Jan 1, 2022 until early July 2022, you'd have won almost $1,000. In that span of time, there were 49 women's fights, and the underdog had won 21 times--that's 42.8%. That leaves the favorite winning only about 57% of the time, which is significantly lower than the 66-68% or so that tends to be the overall average at the UFC level.
So for this experiment, I will simply bet one unit on every underdog in every women's UFC fight. No tape study. No stat study. No capping. Just blindly betting that unit every time so see how this plays out long-term. |
